Champion Athleticwear signs on as Presenting Sponsor of Ivy League Lacrosse Tournaments

EASTON, Pa. and PRINCETON, N.J., April 28, 2010 – The Ivy League announced a new partnership today with Hanesbrands, Inc. for Champion athleticwear to be presenting sponsor for the 2010 Ivy League Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Tournaments.

As presenting sponsor, Champion athleticwear will receive on-site, online and television broadcast presence for both tournaments. The 2010 Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Tournament Presented by Champion will take place April 30 and May 2 at historic Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. The 2010 Ivy League Men's Lacrosse Tournament Presented by Champion will take place at a site to be determined May 7 and 9.

"We are so thrilled to have Champion athleticwear present our inaugural men's and women's lacrosse tournaments," said Ivy League Executive Director Robin Harris. "We look forward to a great partnership with Champion and hope to grow our relationship in the years to come."

The Ivy League collaborated with Waterbucket Media to manage the marketing rights and assist with the broadcast arrangements for the tournaments.

The women's semifinals on Friday, April 30 and the men's semifinals on Friday, May 7 will be streamed live on IvyLeagueSports.com. The women's championship game will be televised live on CBS College Sports on Sunday, May 2 at 12:30 p.m. while the men’s championship game will be televised live on ESPNU on Sunday, May 9 at Noon.

The tournament winners will receive the Ivy League's automatic bids to the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships.
